Products
Adama Innovations processes its technology at wafer-scale, producing hundreds of precisely controlled AFM probe tips consecutively. They are subject to a rigorous quality control procedure to insure that the product adheres to the high standards that reflect the ethos of the company and our ambition to meet the demands of our customers.
Utilising the latest in advanced manufacturing capability, our innovative technology is a robust and efficient method to create bespoke micro- and nanoscale shapes and profiles in diamond and other hard carbon based materials. The repeatability and accuracy of the technique allows for precision engineering in desired locations, including the formation of our tip radii down below 5 nanometres.
Performance
AFM images are a convolution of the tip and sample behooving one to utilize a sharp high aspect ratio tip. This enables a more accurate reproduction of the sample topography which can range from nanometres to micrometers in scale. Furthermore, as the AFM imaging technique is mechanical, one would also want a tip which is mechanically superior to the sample so that the tip will not degrade and loose imaging fidelity. Adama Innovations utilizes conductive diamond for its tips providing one of the best materials that far outperform all other tips in almost every application.
operations
Based in Tyndall National Institute, a world-class nanotechnology center, this fabrication facility includes a number of laboratories and cleanrooms ranging from CLASS-10,000 to CLASS-10. The microscopy laboratory houses a critical mass of high-end scanning electron and ion beam microscopes for sample imaging down to atomic resolution, materials analytics/characterisation, and nanofabrication.
