Aspect Ratio
This variation of our flagship Apex Sharp diamond probes has utilized our patented process to shape the sharp apex of the tip into a 2:1 Aspect Ratio at the final 100nm. This means the tip is 50nm wide at 100nm below the apex to ensure that the tip can resolve more aggressive surface features whereby the depths are up to twice as tall as the lateral widths. Being our 1st controlled Aspect Ratio, the model number uses -AR1 to denote this specification. This is a highly conductive probe with excellent mechanical and electrical performance leading to more reliable data.
Highly doped with boron with a macroscopic resistivity of 0.003 - 0.005 Ω∙cm
Typical contact resistance of 10 kΩ depending on contact radius (measured on a silver surface)
Gold reflex coating on the detector side of the cantilever to enhance reflectivity
